New COVID guidelines for gatherings

We are so thankful for everyone’s flexibility over the last year. We have tried our best to follow the best-practices laid out before us, while thinking creatively around how we might gather and grow as a church together.

Moving forward, based on current CDC recommendations, masks will no longer be required for gatherings for vaccinated adults. For those who are not vaccinated, the CDC recommends you wear a mask. For kids, under 12, we ask that they wear a mask, especially if they want to participate in City Kids. You can read the full statement below:

1.     Anyone older than 12 who is fully vaccinated (2 weeks after last dose of COVID vaccine) are no longer required to wear masks. We recognize the personal nature of choosing to be vaccinated or forego vaccination and will not be requiring proof of vaccination nor enforcing wearing of masks. However we do recognize the need to balance this with best practices and as such would hope and strongly encourage those who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated would continue wearing masks to help prevent further spread of COVID. We also recognize others who are vaccinated may wish to continue to wear masks and respect this choice and ask our community to also support them as we navigate the next phase of the pandemic as we all try to discern what feels right for our individual families.

2.     Since the vaccine is not yet available to children between 0-12 years of age masking will continue to be required for children between the ages of 2 and 12 years of age. Since masking is not recommended for children less than 2 we will continue to not require masking for these children.
