Columbus Violence Reduction Call-in Session

A very important message will be given to members of our community who are at high-risk of being a driver of violence or a victim of violence.
The primary purpose of the Call-In is to deliver a clear message to street group or gang members and their associates, from law enforcement, community members, and social service providers. The message is:
Law enforcement warns group members that violence will attract enhanced enforcement attention from local, state, and federal agencies to entire groups for the violent crimes they are committing. Law enforcement also informs group members that they care about them, and want them to be safe, alive, and out-of-prison.
Community members share with group members the damage the violence is doing and that it must stop. They also inform group members that they care about them, and want them to be safe, alive and out-of-prison.
Scial Service providers tell those in attendance that help is available for those seeking to change their lives. They too, inform group members that they want them to be safe, alive, and out-of-prison.
We ask that you be a part of this important message as a member of our community by sitting in the audience which will surround the group/gang members. Through your presence, you will have the opportunity to show that while our community disapproves of the violence, we also want to see each of these group/gang members/associates Safe, Alive, and Out-of-Prison.
