The thing you’re most looking forward to over the summer: Meeting new people!

While studying at Ohio University, I’ve had the opportunity to get involved in Central Avenue Church in Athens, OH. Central has recently begun the process of launching a new church in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus is one of the fastest growing communities in Ohio and the nation, and it's a perfect place to reach new people for Jesus. Central City Church will be in the Grandview Heights area, close enough to the Ohio State University campus to reach college students, but also easily accessible to the wider community. This will allow Central City to mirror the focus on college ministry in a multi-generational context with Central Avenue’s ministry in Athens.
This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to serve with Central City Church. The church will be launching in the fall, and during the summer I will get the chance to help with the launch. I will be focusing on communications, as well as participating in Bible studies, assisting in worship and events, and intentionally meeting community members. A summer spent doing work like this will be invaluable for myself and for those the Lord might impact through me. It will be in the perfect environment to grow in my spiritual leadership and in ministry skills that will equip me for ministry after college.

To make all of this possible, I need to develop a team of ministry partners—a group of people like you who would pray and give to make this mission possible. As you might imagine, raising the necessary funds will be one of my greatest steps of faith in preparation for the summer. I need a total of $4,000 by May 31. This amount will cover ministry expenses, administrative costs, and a stipend.
